Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are running the first ever Richmond Park 10 Mile Run on 4 June in support of Deborah James, one of the Mums in Year 4, at Kings House School in Richmond.  Some of us have never run this kind of distance before and thought we could barely run and with all the nasty hills in Richmond Park, it will be quite a challenge for everyone.  However, we have a good reason to join together and ask for sponsorship.

Deborah was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bowel Cancer just before Christmas and has made it her goal to beat the disease whilst raising awareness - it can hit just about anyone regardless of your health and age.  Deborah is otherwise an extremely fit and healthy 35 year old.

Whilst dealing with all the medical side of things and undergoing several major operations and chemo, Deborah is working with Bowel Cancer UK on their "Never too Young" Campaign.

Can we PLEASE urge you to read Deborah's ongoing blog:

It is truly inspiring and gaining a lot of interest.
