We provide vital nutritional support to people living with HIV in London

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This challenge involves walking the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, reaching the 3 peaks within 24 hours. The total distance walked will be around 44 km (27 miles), with a total ascent of 9,800 feet (3,000 m).

I'm completing this challenge as part of my 40th Birthday celebrations. I've seen directly the massive impact the Food Chain has made to so many people's lives. I'm honoured to be involved in various ways, but without fundraising, people won't get the support they desperately need. Going without healthy food shouldn't be a reality. Unfortunately it is.

The Food Chain has been responding to real and critical needs since 1988. Times have changed and living with HIV has changed for the vast majority of people, but for those referred to The Food Chain at times of crisis and in acute need, our service makes a significant difference and cannot be found anywhere else.

The Food Chain receives no state funding and depends entirely on charitable income and the contribution of hundreds of volunteers every year.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
