Story

Later this month I'll be attempting to undertake the Great Manchester Run 10K, by my side will be 3 of my (best) flatmates!!!! We've decided to undertake this immense physical challenge in order to raise money for two
extremely worthy charities that are close to our hearts - CALM and Mind (see
our team page to give to this charity). Any and all donations will be
gratefully recieved, and will go towards helping save and improving
people's lives. Thanks in advance, big love! <3

The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is a charity dedicated to
preventing male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. They are trying to do this by offering support to men of all ages. Challenging a
culture that prevents men seeking help when they need it. Pushing for changes in policy so suicide is better prevented. As well as supporting those bereaved by suicide. For more info visit their website:

Mind: the mental health charity. Is an organisation working to support
anyone suffering from a mental health problem, whose ethos is: we won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect. They aim to do this through their own services and support, by empowering choice concerning strategies of managing mental health, changing public attitudes and combatting stigma and inequalities surrounding mental health. About the charity

We’re the Campaign Against Living Miserably and we’re taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling hopeless, standing up to stereotypes and showing life is always worth living.125 lives are lost every week to suicide. 75% of all UK suicides are male. We exist to change this.
