Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Don't feel any pressure to make large donations - every little bit helps!

I am nearing my Qualified Teacher Status. And two days after the end of my final teaching placement on my secondary mathematics PGCE, I start to relax by... RUNNING 10K!! with all of the training I can squeeze from now until then (=NONE)!

Because I can. And because Multiple Sclerosis affects 1 in 600 people in the UK and it's not as pretty as it's depicted in "The West Wing". I can run because I do not suffer chronic fatigue, a compromised immune system or one of the innumerable and random incapacitating relapses MS has to offer. So there.

It's common but not as sexy as the ones at the top of the charity lists. So. Let's get some money towards figuring out why the hell one's immune system might develop an appetite for myelin . Science is just starting to get an understanding of the condition - let's get it moving forward.

Do it. For me. For MS. For Frodo.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
