I am trekking/climbing Kilimanjaro this year and raising funds for Penny Appeal's Thirst Relief campaign.

Dirty water is one of the world's biggest killers, and can trap entire communities in a cycle of poverty.

This year, I have become more aware of the consequences and realities that people face as a result of water poverty. Water poverty means so much more than the distance people have to walk to fetch water. People’s sanitation, health, education can all suffer due to lack of water, or clean water. The money raised as part of our Conquer Kilimanjaro campaign will go towards providing water in water scarce communities in Gambia and help to improve the lives of many people.
