Story
I know how it feels to see your child in a neonatal intensive care unit. Every child, no matter where they were born, deserves the chance to celebrate his or her first birthday.
That is why I have joined with a group of like-minded lycra fetishists to ride 450km (with 6151m of climbing, including the fabled Hai Van pass) from Thanh My to Da Nang. It's going to be a tough test and will require some hard training yards but it's for a hugely worthwhile cause. Please do donate if you can, every little helps and it will be put to good use.
Newborns Vietnam save lives by reducing neonatal mortality and promoting the health of newborn children and their mothers. They work with local hospitals and universities, British higher education institutions and teaching hospitals and medical training colleges to train health care professionals, increase local capacity and improve medical infrastructure. They need your help to reduce neonatal mortality and long-term disability that results from poor care. Newborns Vietnam works in partnership with Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children (which we will visit on our final day in Vietnam) and the Vietnam National Children's Hospital in Hanoi.
