A very special girl , very dear to us all would have now been in her 5th year.I feel so fortunate to have been graced by her presence. She was an inspiration to us all. Her smile was infectious and she touched the lives of everybody she met. Rowan was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and sadly passed away before her second birthday . Her memory lives with us all.

In August I will be celebrating my 50 th .Late last year I realised (well started to admit) that I was well overweight. I needed a challenge to help me succeed!

I have therefore set myself the challenge during Rowan's 5 th year to run 5 half marathons  and also  aim to lose 5 stone ( I am halfway there already )before her 6 th birthday at the end of May.

The Great North West  Half Marathon in Blackpool on the 19 th of February will be my first. I will keep you updated with the other runs.

I will be supported in my runs by Makka Pakka from In The Night Garden - a programme much loved by Rowan.
