Story
Sarah Murray (my sister) was diagnosed with breast cancer in March last year. It came as an unbelievable shock to all her friends and family as Sarah was/is fit and
healthy.
We all felt very helpless and did our best to support her at a very traumatic time. Her diagnosis showed us that breast cancer, albeit any cancer is not discriminatory. After a tough few months Sarah came through it and recovered from her treatment well and this is when the planning for a large scale fund raising event began.
The challenge will be both physically and mentally challenging but it wouldn't be a challenge if it wasn't. The team is made up of some of Sarah's friends and family, some of whom just got their bikes for Christmas, so different levels of cycling experience. For many of the team this will be there first time taking part in a successive multi day event.
So I appreciate you reading our page (3M-s) and any support you can give us means a lot. It is a very large target we have set ourselves that is why we have made it a very large challenge !! But with everyone's help we will get there and make a HUGE difference, so that there can be more happy endings like Sarah's.
We have all lost family members and friends to all different kinds of cancers but the treatments are getting better and becoming more successful, thanks to great research and peoples generosity.
Thanks
Paul
