We provide mental health treatment to veterans from every service and conflict

Story

Setting off in March 2017, the British Trans-Americas Expedition 2017 will ride by motorcycle the entire length of the world’s longest road; ‘the Pan-American Highway’. This route runs from Cape Horn at the southern tip of South America to Prudhoe Bay on the northern coast of Alaska, covering 20,000 miles and 15 countries. The route will include a crossing of the infamous ‘Darien Gap’ between Colombia and Panama, which currently prevents any overland motorised traffic between North and South America. If the team achieves its goal it will set a new world record as the first motorcycle team to ride the entire Pan-American Highway in one continuous journey.

The team will be raising money for the veterans mental health charity Combat Stress as they endeavour to raise awareness of the prevelance of mental illness in military and ex-military personnel. Throughout the journey they will work to help prevent the destigmatisation of mental illness through the discussion of their own feelings and experiences.
