Story
Mia is 9 years old and what may seem like a easy challenge to some it won't be for her. Mia has congenital hemiplegia, a form of cerebral palsy that effects her mobility weakens the whole right side of the body. Mia is hyper mobile,hypertonic and as a range of other ailments liked to Cp, (Ms,Asd,absent seizures etc).
Mia is prone to dislocate her joints very easy, & becomes very lethargic.Mia has a very high pain threshold so unable to say/feel if severe damage has been done.overuse of her joints will leave her in a great deal of pain, swelling ,& will prevent her from moving for a few days. Doctors first anticipated that Mia wouldn't walk or talk , although there has been issues Mia is able to Talk (never shuts up) & began walking unaided before her 3rd birthday. Mia has to use a wheelchair at times due to her mobility and poor balance.
We are unsure what the future holds with her mobility but she is a determined little girl with a heart of gold and always wants to help others.
