I'm taking part in the RED challenge this January to raise awareness for those suffering with, and the effects of mental illnesses. Everyone is effected by mental illness, from families to friends, and not enough is being done to support those who face the stigma every single day. 

1 in 4 people experience a mental health issue and this is a very high statistic, there's not enough funding , awareness or support available and instead people are faced with negativity and stigma.

Having had an insight of what a mental illness can do to a person, and the effects it can have on everyone around them, im ready to push myself to this challenge so one day we can say a difference was made! 

So please sponsor what ever you can. I'm aiming to run or walk atleast 2 k a day (however this is a minimum and I'm hoping to beat this!) ending with a 5k run at the end of every week and a 10k at the end of the challenge. 

One day we will be able to say that everyone effected by a mental illness has had the right treatment and support, instread of the stigma and negativity we currently face today!
