Story

Those of you that know me will be aware of how proud I am of Megan and her achievements to date with Teddy, now is my chance to do her proud and dust of my riding boots, squeeze myself into some beige jods and a hacking jacket (OK, I may have to admit defeat and buy a new outfit!) and step up to the plate and compete in a BE80 in the autumn of 2017.

Those of you who don't know me, I am a 39 year old mother of three who hasn't ridden competitively for 20 odd years, my eldest daughter, Megan, competes her horse Teddy at BE100 level while my youngest. 5year old Harry is still on the lead rein. I hack occasionally and prefer a sedate plod following breaking my ankle in March 2016.

So, I will not only have to loose enough weight and get fit enough to be in with a chance of succeeding, but I will also need to face my fear of jumping!

'Why am I doing this?' It is simple because I still have the chance, if Hannah's heartbreaking struggle taught me anything it was that we need to live each and every day to the max. Her determination and passion for all things equine touched my heart as I am sure it did many of yours, so I am doing this for you Hannah. X
