Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
#TeamCallon are running the Stafford Half Marathon in 2017 to help out the one and only Leon Callon, who has been diagnosed with having a GIST aka "Garry". We, at Leon's request are raising money for the cancer charity GIST Support UK.

The main reason for choosing this charity is to raise awareness of this very rare (especially in Leon's age group) type of tumor.

The team is currently made of Leon's Mum and Dad, Alison and Ian; his fantastic partner Klara, one of his childhood best friends Nick Payne, myself and Alan Kinvig...soon to be joined by many many friends and family - we're set to be a huge bunch of people all raising for ONE cause!

As you will see in some of the photos posted, leon himself is a keen runner, actually shaming some us us (myself definitely) into using this great way of keeping fit to shed the extra pounds being carried and all the benefits of leading a healthier lifestyle.
