Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have always wanted to BE event but never really been brave enough. The Wobbleberry Challenge has been set up to raise money for Bone Cancer in memory of the incredible young lady Hannah Francis who sadly lost her fight and life aged 18 this year. Hannah was an incredible lady who loved horses and eventing and she has inspired me to follow my dream and join the challenge to compete at BE 80 by the autumn 2017.

So with my incredible horse Max (who has been there done it before and will show me how to do it!) we have accepted the challenge to train hard, get fit, learn and grow together and go and BE event...because....life is, far too short.

Max was taken ill last year and the challenge was put on hold. I was devastated in October when he came down with Laminitis and most of the winter was spent getting him well again. In Feb we started rehab and building him back up, we are now back to full fitness and he is better than ever. We have already tackled Aston Le Walls UA and Keysoe UA both with Double Clears. I wasn't able to do much of the Wobbleberry Training so have been doing our own bits but I was so determined to finish the challenge and carry on eventing as I have certainly been bitten by the bug!

I am so proud of my amazing horse and our journey and I am so proud to be able to (hopefully) complete the challenge!

Please support me and the charity and follow our journey. I am sure there will be laughs, tears and moments of despair but I am determined to do this, to follow my dream. We have one life, live it. www.willberrywonderpony.org

About the charity

The Charity was established by talented horse rider, Hannah Francis, following her diagnosis with the aggressive form of bone cancer, osteosarcoma. People all over the world followed Hannah's story which she told through her mascot, Willberry. Tragically Hannah passed away at just 18 years old.
