Having run the Birmingham half marathon twice before for Cure Leukaemia alone, I have now decided to run as part of a team from Worcestershire Hospitals, where we treat patients affected by this dreadful disease. We see first hand the impact this has on the lives of patients and their loved ones, and this cause can make a real impact, not only in the amazing research they do, but also by providing the nursing support for these patients which is so essential when going through such difficult treatment.
