Youth homelessness has many causes and takes many forms. In many cases it is hidden due to sofa-surfing or inadequate housing as well as rough sleeping. At YMCA Southampton we provide supported housing that is safe and secure and we work with young people to make every attempt to ensure that homelessness doesn’t happen again.Sleep Easy is our annual fundraising event where participants brave the cold and sleep in a cardboard box for one night to raise awareness and attract sponsorship for a worthwhile cause. Sleep Easy is not only a challenging and eye-opening experience, but an opportunity to have fun, make friends, and raise money to help eradicate youth homelessness.
