I thought you may be interested in my motivation for participating in this event and supporting Crisis, particularly for someone who doesn't even camp at music festivals.

I have been fortunate in my career to have worked with great people and on exciting projects that have made a difference to people's lives but have never been involved in the front line delivery of services and am full of admiration for those who do.

The work I do as a non Executive Director of a housing association and managing director of a joint venture with a mental health trust, touches on the the lives of those most likely to suffer from homelessness. Therefore, despite my aversion to cold weather and the 'great' outdoors, I hope that my small gesture can help toward Crisis doing the great things they do for those in need of shelter and warmth.
