Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page

Like so many of us, Hannah Francis's battle really hit my heart, Reading her updates as she battled a aggressive form of bone cancer really did put my 'bad days' into perspective. I just couldn't believe how brave and determined someone could be in the
face of such a tragic and inevitable outcome, and at just 17 years old.

So... With a horse that has just come back into work after 2 years off due to lameness and who has a penchant for spending most of his time on his back legs, no legs at all or limping on anyone of his legs and a rider that has lost her bottle somewhere along the way, I decided the most sensible thing to do was to put ourselves forward for The Wobbleberry challenge!

What's a Wobbleberry?!

'A shy, elusive creature, the 'Wobbleberry' natural habitat is spectating at BE events, and supporting other riders- but all this is about to change!!!

Key characteristics:

- not currently fit enough to get round a cross country course
- not currently brave enough to get round a cross country course
- old enough to know better, and know that this will hurt!
- dedicated- to raising money, training, and conquering the fear.
- supportive of each other- aiming to be Weeble-esque, 'we wobble, but we won't fall down'.

The challenge is to compete in a British Eventing 80 event in the autumn of 2017.

This poses a lot of other challenges along the way, which will be different for everyone.

Mine and Ernie includes; trying to keep him sound (!), trying to keep him sane (!) and myself trying to get my confidence back with him (!!).

If anyone would like to sponsor us (danger money accepted!) we will be extremely grateful and it is going to such a wonderful cause.
