Story

The event:
The Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run has run every other year since
1966. This is the 25th event and 50th Anniversary.  The idea is simple – to drive Triumph cars around the UK, covering 2000
miles in 48 hours, non - stop via a number of control stops. This is all
undertaken in a classic Triumph car built in 1971.

The aim: To
raise as much money and awareness as we can for Guide Dogs. The
event target for all 140 teams combined is £100,000.

The team:
David Walker & Michael Walker.

We have both previously completed the Round Britain Reliability Run, our first being as
a team of 3 in about 2000. In 2012 I completed my first run with a team of just
2. This time we are using my modified MKII PI Saloon, running Rover V8 Engine
and BMW Diff. It is LPG converted which is cleaner for the environment and
cheaper for us!

The details:
The 2016 RBRR is to be run over the weekend of October 7th-9th , starting at Knebworth, going up to John O'Groats, through
Scotland and Wales to Lands End and finally back to it's start point in North London. Since 1990 the event has supported UK Charities and entrants have raised
approximately over £500,000

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
