Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

Please donate generously!

I am aiming to take part in the Wobbleberries Challenge - to complete a BE80 event during the Autumn of 2017.

For my non horsey donators this stands for British Eventing 80cm (the height of the jumps) & involves completing 3 different sections of a competition on the same day which are Dressage, Show Jumping & Cross Country.  I have never done this kind of competition before & neither has my horse, Strider, in fact we are rather backward in competing at anything full stop!  I'm not the bravest person when it comes to jumping & Strider has his fair share of moments of low confidence so this is going to be a huge challenge for us both!

To complete this challenge we will be undertaking a huge amount of training over the next 12 months to ensure we stand the best chance of making it to the end &, most importantly, so that we both stay safe.  Eventing can be a dangerous sport & I am hoping this will encourage people to donate generously as I am most definitely not an adrenaline junky, I'm more of a sofa surfer!

This is in aid of the Willberry Wonder Pony charity - in memory of Hannah Francis who recently passed away from bone cancer. Hannah was a really inspiring person and I want to do everything I can to support the Willberry charity to help #kickcancersbutt.

About the charity

The Charity was established by talented horse rider, Hannah Francis, following her diagnosis with the aggressive form of bone cancer, osteosarcoma. People all over the world followed Hannah's story which she told through her mascot, Willberry. Tragically Hannah passed away at just 18 years old.
