Story

Hi As most of my horsey and some of my other friends might know I purchased a new young untrained horse called Ben in March 2016, because my old horse was about to retire. All started well but then Ben and I suffered a series of set backs when Ben was scared and running away from his problems after putting me on the floor first, 3 bouts of concussion in 2 months not so good. Then in 2017 when I should have been working towards my wobbleberry challenge my husband Tony was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer, round one of Chemo didn't work so almost straight into round two. Whilst this was going on I was still trying to build my relationship with Ben and work full time and take care of my husband and the rest of the family. The wobbleberry challenge was put on hold as I just didn't have the time. In 2018 after getting to the point where Ben wouldn't even go over a pole on the floor I found myself a fantastic new instructor who has given me and Ben the confidence to trust each other and to start to fly. My husband had a stem cell transplant in October as the chemotherapy wasn't working. Well this year in February my husband was given the all clear and is now in remission, and Ben and I have completed an 80cm eventer challenge so I have taken the bold step to enter Aston Le Walls BE80 on 3rd March as my Wobbleberry challenge. Please support my challenge by donating what ever you can. I know from personal experience just how awful cancer can be, and the rewards of the research. Thank you everyone for your help and support
