The Challenge

To take part competitively in a British Eventing 80 class in 2017. That's dressage, cross country and show jumping.

My story...

Hannah Francis was an exceptionally inspirational young lady..I didn't even know her, yet look what she's made me do!

Please read about her legacy and what she achieved in the last year of her short life...I don't know what makes some people stand out in the face of adversity, but Hannah really did and she accrued so many supporters and admirers.

So the reason for taking on this challenge, other than the obvious need to find interest and purpose in my life as I stumble into 'middle age' is to raise funds for the willberry charity.
So I call upon all my friends and acquaintances far and wide to support me in any way you can....I will be more motivated to see your name on my list of sponsors...no matter how small the donation, and to see how many of the good and great people I've met around the world in recent years will rally to support me.
I intend to bore you with my progress...riding has been a lifelong passion, indeed it was my business for some 30 years, but I haven't properly ridden for 3 years now so I expect to be a bit rusty, not to mention nervous.
Firstly I need to find a suitable steed...one that knows the ropes, has a conscience and desire to look after me, yet a will to win.....has a leg on each corner, is comfortable to ride and a good neck held high enough to stop me going over the front!
He won't feel the need on a cold winters morning to throw in a buck and a squeal..he will be a steady Eddy at all times, yet he will have a character that stops him being boring. 

Together we will face this challenge and emerge victorious in some form or fashion!
