This year will be the 41st year that Wimbledon Village Stables have organised this event. It is the longest running, most successful sponsored ride in the country, raising over £500,000 for charity over the years. 

Donations raised will be given to Marsden Cancer Charity. As some of you may know, I lost my darling father to a very short battle with cancer at the end of last year, so this ride is a particularly powerful one for me, combining my love for horses and thinking of my papa all along.

The Royal Marsden Hospital develops a positive partnership with patients to help them deal with their cancer. Through this, patients not only receive the latest treatments, but also rehabilitation and assistance at all levels. Every effort is made to enable patients to carry on normal activities as far as possible and to maximise their quality of life. It is a supportive environment in which information, communication and the care provided are focused on the needs of each individual patient and their family.

The Sponsored Ride leaves at around 10am on October 23rd to parade down the high street of Wimbledon Village, it then follows a ten mile route around the beautiful woodland of Wimbledon Common and scenic open spaces of Royal Richmond Park.
