Story

Team 77 are now ready for the start of Club Triumphs Round Britain Reliability Run

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself and Ilka are going to be completing the Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run this year in my 1971 Triumph Spitfire 2000 which I have owned for the last 17 years.

The challenge is to drive around Britain visiting a number of control stops along the way, covering approximately 2000 miles in 48 hours.  We will be leaving Enfield, London at 6pm on Friday 7th October, driving through the night before stopping for breakfast at John O'Groats at about 8am Saturday.  The route then takes in the stunning scenery of the Scottish Highlands as we head South, stopping at various controls in England and Wales before eventually reaching Land's End for another breakfast at about 8am Sunday.  At this point it feels as if the challenge is nearly over, but there follows the small matter of 400 or so miles driving back through Southern England to get to the finish - this year at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire on Sunday evening.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

All entry fees and fuel costs are paid by us so all donations will go to  the Guide dogs.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
