Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Whenever cancer strikes a relative, friend or colleague, I always want to organise a fundraising event.  However, family, work and horse commitments mean I never have the time to fulfill my good intentions.

The Wobbleberry Challenge www.wobbleberries.com is the perfect way for me to finally start some serious fundraising.  This initiative is borne out of the charity Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony and you can read about this charity at the bottom of this page.

The challenge is aimed at wimpy, older riders and the goal is to complete a BE80 (for horsey friends) in 2017.  For non-horsey friends this means on one day, at an official competition,  I have to undertake a dressage test, a round of showjumps at 80cm (2'6") and a cross-country course at the same height.  I'm experiencing fear just writing those words!

Of course, I'm not doing this alone.  I will be doing this with my partner (in the equine sense) Leonora, known as Nora.  I have explained the challenge to her and she seemed to listen intently, which I have interpreted as her being very keen to do this with me.

You can follow my progress on my dedicated Facebook page Heather Wobbleberry Keltie - was Wilson .

We've all lost dear people to cancer, so please friends, colleagues, acquaintances and strangers - give generously!!  (Generously is in the context of what you can afford - I don't care if it is £1, £10, £100 as long as you give to this great cause.)

Many of you know that I'm in Sales, so when a target is set, it is there to be beaten!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

The Charity was established by talented horse rider, Hannah Francis, following her diagnosis with the aggressive form of bone cancer, osteosarcoma. People all over the world followed Hannah's story which she told through her mascot, Willberry. Tragically Hannah passed away at just 18 years old.
