Story

In October 2015 I was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Cancer two days after I had completed a half marathon.

I have since undergone major surgery to remove the tumours from my small intestine as well as having a lot of tumours removed from my liver. I am not disease free and continue to need treatment to manage and control the cancer.

Diagnosing Neuroendocrine cancers (NETs) is very difficult as the symptoms are often confused with other more common conditions.

November 10th is Neuroendocrine Cancer day. I have decided to run 10 miles between my two local hospitals to raise awareness of NETs and to raise money for PLANETS and the NET Patient Foundation.
