For those of you that know me you will know i am normally attached to a fag! I have decided enough is enough I am going to STOP! For my health, my children, my wallet and for my sanity when sitting on a long haul flight! I am going to set myself FREE!

I have decided to add the pressure of raising some money for a good cause (as if the reasons above are not enough) to ensure my dedication and to ensure its not just myself I would be letting down if I were to light one up!

Smile with Shiv is a family fund set up by Manoj Thakrar, a colleague of mine and his wife with the charity Muscular Dystrophy UK when their son, Shiv was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). 

DMD is a life limiting,
progressive muscle wasting condition which currently has no cure. Smile with
Shiv has been set up to raise much needed awareness and funds to go in to
research to help find an effective treatment and cure in to DMD and to also
help gain faster access to treatment when they are available. Duchenne is
progressive in nature and those suffering face a race against time.
