Katharine House Hospice is the hospice local to where i grew up and supports people and their families with advanced life limiting illness. It's in the countryside near Banbury and has a 10 bed inpatient facility. There is also a lymphoedema service, Bereavement support service and a specialist community support team.

The hospice is keen to offer more direct hospice nursing at home and fundraising for that is a priority this year. About 30% is funded by the NHS, the rest is through local charitable support. 

My mother is a nurse at the hospice and i know a number of people who have themselves, or their loved ones sincerely benefited from the work and support Katharine house provide.
