Fundraising for Penny Appeal
Story
Assalamu - Alaikum (Peace be with you),
Thank you, for taking a few moments of your time to visit my fundraising page in aid of orphans in Pakistan and part of Penny Appeal's Half Marathons for Home series.
Unfortunately, more than 40% of Pakistan's population now live below the poverty line. As a result, like many countries in this condition, it's the children that suffer the most. As you can imagine, a situation like this is one that's continuous worsening day-by-day and it breaks my heart to see children suffering like this.
Therefore, this October it's time for a change. I will be putting my legs to the test by joining Penny Appeal's#TeamOrange and running in the 2016 Leicester Half-Marathon. The money raised will go to building an orphanage in Pakistan; giving vulnerable children the opportunity to be safe, providing them with love and care, a basic education and most importantly, a childhood that they at least deserve.
So today I ask you for two things, firstly, to make a donation, however, large or small and secondly to keep children who are suffering around the world in your prayers/duas.
I'm very excited and you should be too!
I leave you with one of my favourite narrations. The Prophet SAW (may blessings and peace be upon him) said "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him will be in paradise like this." Putting his index and middle finger together. Bukhari
