I've always enjoyed cycling but after dealing with cancer in my family I have a greater determination to help beat this dreadful disease so I am undertaking my 3rd Inspired Living cycling challenge.

This time I am leaving the tandem & co pilot (Adam) at home & doing it under my own steam, hoping the Alps will be a little kinder!

Inspired Living’s 2016 challenge is to ride 1842 km (1140 miles) to Rome. At 17.00 on 20th August a total of 43 riders with a support team of 7 will leave Winchester Hospital at 3.30 pm, via Portsmouth, across the English Channel, ride through France, over the Alps and then down to Rome via Turin, Bologna and Florence. All cyclists are covering their own travel and accommodation costs so all money raised can go directly to CRUK.
