Fundraising for Cancer Research UK
Story
As in 2010 and 2014, I'm going on a long cycle ride, this time with around 40 other riders, plus 7 support crew.
The group will depart on Saturday 20th August, cycling over 1,800km through France, going over the Alps to Italy, and on to Rome via Turin, Bologna and Florence over two weeks.
I'm not able to take the full two weeks off work, but will join the group in Lyon, just before we get to the Alps, so will 'only' be doing around 1,160km over 9 days.
All riders are covering the cost of all their own accommodation, ferry and plane travel, so that all the money they raise can go to CRUK.
Inspired Living was established in July 2009, its current primary aims are as follows:
To inspire ordinary men & women to adopt healthier lifestyles to reduce their risk of contracting cancer
This event is 100% self funded, so every penny raised here goes straight to the charity.
