Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am joining my cousin Denise and a team of eager walkers to raise money for ground breaking research into the early detection of breast cancer, Life Cycle 6. This exciting research is being undertaken by Professor Robertson of the University of Nottingham. He is developing a blood test with the aim of detecting breast cancer before there are any visible signs. My Mum, Audrey Potter, was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after my 18th birthday in 1987 and she underwent a radical mastectomy that summer. However, she sadly succumbed to secondary cancers in 1992. Consequently I wholeheartedly support research into this terrible disease. I do not want anyone to suffer as she did. Please sponsor me and let's make breast cancer a thing of the past!

About the charity

Our life-changing research can fight diseases, tackle global challenges and change society. At Nottingham, students from all backgrounds can achieve extraordinary things, in and out of the classroom. But talent needs a catalyst. You can shape the future and help make the incredible happen, every day
