Every year 83,000 young people experience homelessness in London. I personally find it very distressing to see young people on the streets in my own city with hopelessness and desperation in their eyes. I feel ashamed that a modern, wealthy, democratic society can let people slip through the net. I have been fortunate enough to build a comfortable and stable life in London as an immigrant but at times even I struggle with having no immediate family safety net. But I can't possibly imagine how hard it is to independently lift yourself up from the street and that is why I would like to raise money for the charity Centre point. Your donation will help provide shelter, healthcare and education for young people who have somehow slipped through the net.
