In August 2016 I am taking part in a cycle ride with the Inspired Living team starting in Portsmouth and ending in Rome ,totaling 1140 miles over 14 days all in aid of Cancer Research. A novice to road cycling and extremely nervous for the ride, however I am using it as an opportunity to raise some money for a fantastic charity.

We have all been touched by Cancer. I have seen close friends and family deal with this horrible disease very recently and one thing I have taken from these experiences is the courage and positive attitude those personally effected show during this time. Its truly inspiring.

I am lucky enough to be doing this ride with some very close friends of mine who have had to deal with Cancer head on. This is what has spurred me to do this challenge.

Regular updates and pictures will be posted - there will be happy, sad, sore and exhausted times but one thing that will be present the whole way through the ride is the motivation to do what we can to defeat Cancer.
