I've been raising money for Inflammatory Bowel Disease charities for a good few years now. I got diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2001 when I was 13 years old and suffered with severe flares until I reached around 19 years old. Since then, I have been in relatively good health and in remission apart from a stint in hospital when I had emergency surgery to remove part of my bowel after it was perforated during a routine check-up colonoscopy. While I'm in remission, which I hope continues, I like to do what I can to help others who may not be so fortunate with IBD.

This year I have chosen Cure Crohn's Colitis as they focus their efforts on finding a cure for IBD. Their website states:-
