My wife Sue and I visited Tanzania and volunteered with Bridge 2 Aid in 2008, returning in 2012 to run Hope Dental Clinic in Mwanza. I've seen first hand that B2A contributes significantly to a healthier population by means of it's unique training programme. Local Tanzanian Clinical Officers are trained in emergency dental diagnosis and treatment by UK based dentists and nurses who give up their time and contribute to the cost of allowing Rural Dispensaries to treat dental patients. This successful programme needs more funding to extend it's reach into other parts of Tanzania and neighbouring east African countries.
