Cancer is just nasty.  It indiscriminately takes our loved ones away from us.  It is both cruel and unforgiving.

Rare cancers have an awful irony - funding to research cures are less because less people suffer from them.  The fact that less people suffer, whilst real, is just a meaningless statistic if the person suffering is somebody you love, or indeed you.  Once again, we are taking the the opportunity to do something about that, carrying on that fight.  Any little we can do may literally mean the world to somebody in the future.
