Born in 1979, raised in an era of truly epic badasses like Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Anneka Rice I always knew I should strive towards epic bad-assery.

For years I drifted in a wilderness of sweets, booze and inactivity. But then, one day, my spirit animal appeared to me in a dream and said one word.

FORTIFY.

And thus it was so.

I would obey my spirit animal and become a badass via the crucible of Tough Mudder.

'What could make this even more badass?' my spirit guide asked me in a return visit. A colleague answered my question. Let's do it for charity. 

Who better to help than real life badasses who save peoples lives.

Serious bit: This was a cause that was important to a friend and colleague who passed away suddenly last year, so this is for him too
