Story
We're going to climb/hike up Lochnager which is undoubtedly the best Munro in this region and is widely regarded as one of the finest in Scotland. From a walkers point of view there are a selection of steep rocky crags or high mountain plateaus for scrambling, climbing or a long ramble. A great day out across all the seasons with brilliant, atmospheric summit views across the Cairngorms.
Lochnagar will also provide the opportunity for those that don’t think they’d manage the Munro, to walk along Loch Muick. Loch Muick provides good views of the surrounding hills. The walk takes in the impressive Glas-allt Shiel house built by Queen Victoria from where there is an optional route to see some waterfalls
