Story

As part of this year’s Life cycle 6 I will be cycling 1400 miles to cover the 'four points of the compass': Lizard Point, Lowestoft Ness, Ardnamurchan Point, and Dunnet Head to raise funds for the early detection of breast cancer.

Breast cancer has a personal significance for me in that I lost my best friend to this disease at the young age of 37. I have seen first hand the devastation this cancer can have on individuals and their families and want to do everything I can to help. The University of Nottingham is conducting ground breaking research in this area and I am prepared to have 1400 miles worth of  a sore 'rear end' and tired legs in order to support their work.

How can you help? Sponsor me as part of the Life Cycle 6 campaign for cancer research to pave the way for:

• earlier diagnosis
• greater chance of survival for individual patients

Can you help us raise £2 million to fund the people and technology this vital work needs?
