Since Shaka was 3 months old he has been helping me train for the 100km Thames Path challenge in September, in aid of Arthritis UK. He is a true long distance walker having started with his first 5 km walk when he was just 3 months old. He has just had his first birthday and can easily do a 20km walk twice a week. A few weeks ago he ran circles around me (probably about 150km) when I walked 55km from Henley to Windsor. Unfortunately Shaka is not the most behaved on or off the lead and he does like to run off the path into fields. He has also taken a few plunges into the river Thames, on one occasion clinging onto the Regatta booms wondering who was going to come and save him? In the woods around Henley, his favourite is long jump and high jump and as the grass and bushes have grown he has reached new heights and lengths with his jumps.
