Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Round Britain page.

Richard, Grant & Bob, along with 149 other teams, are participating in the bi-annual Round Britain Reliability Run organized by Club Triumph. The aim is to set off from London on Friday evening, drive through the night to Saturday breakfast at John O'Groats and set off South and West for breakfast at Lands End on Sunday before driving back to London, planning to get there before 48 hours have elapsed.

The event has been held for Triumph cars every two years since 1966 when half a dozen nearly new cars did the run. Of course, the Triumph cars, and some of the drivers, are not getting any younger but the run is getting ever more popular. This year sees the 50th anniversary of the first run with 150 cars taking part, and it's the second time that Richard has entered a car even though he waited 26 years for another go.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
