On the 21st September rather than having a tipple or three celebrating my birthday which I also share with my son Isaac, with his blessing I will be commencing a cycle trip of 270 miles across Ireland.  Not having done any road biking before. 

I am so much of a novice  I only  purchase a road bike in May  !  All been well I hope to complete the challenge in a fair time without too many injuries along the way,  Our route :
21st  travel from Sheffield to Ballina,Co.Mayo >22nd Cycle from Castlebar to Galway > 23rd Galway to Thurle,   24th Thurles to Dublin
