As part of the A&Y FOUNDATION, volunteers from ALLEN & YORK recruitment company spend the day with the Dorset Wildlife Trust to help
re-gravel the nesting bird islands in the lagoon at the Brownsea Island Nature Reserve.
We got our wadders on and shovels out and shifted about 4.5 tonnes of gravel across the saline lagoon! It was REALLY hard work, but very rewarding and great fun!
A BIG thank you to Dorset Wildlife Trust for organising the day and to our mighty volunteers who braved the February weather to create an enhanced nesting environment and new home for a wealth of seabirds and waders.
