Hi my name is Sarah Petit and I am a provisional member of the 2016 team for which I am extremely grateful for the chance to take part in this once in a lifetime challenge of cycling from Guernsey to Bilbao OMG 600 miles in the saddle.  However in order to take part in the challenge I need to raise a minimum of £1,750.

If you would like to support me in my efforts it would be very much appreciated in order that I can reach my target and head off on this trip -  I will keep you updated with my training progress for which there will need to be lots having completed a maximum of about 70 miles in one go previously (and that was a few years ago).   Thanks in advance for any donation.

We are raising money for the Sarah Groves Foundation for which you can read more below or on the link to the Foundation page - this is a brilliant charity and has already benefitted children in Guernsey with things like the lantern parades,  for which I know lots of my friends and their children have taken part in.

The Sarah Groves Foundation was incorporated by the family of Sarah Groves. Sarah was tragically murdered on a house boat in Kashmir, India in April 2013. Sarah was an incredibly loving and selfless person. She always strived to improve the lives of people less fortunate than herself. She had a special affinity for children. The foundation was set up to create and offer opportunities to children from all walks of life in the areas of life Sarah was most passionate about. These areas are the arts, fitness and activities. By offering these chances we aim to improve the lives of children in Guernsey and around the world and allow them to succeed through Sarah's legacy.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
