We are the UK’s eating disorder charity to end pain and suffering

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Little known charities such as Beat do not have a huge profile in comparison to some of the other bigger charities, therefore funding is often very hard to come by for the vital work they do. Eating disorders are sadly becoming more and more common due to, amongst other reasons, pressure of the media to be "perfect" . I witnessed a very close friend watch her beautiful, talented and very clever daughter suffer dreadfully at the hands of this horrible disease. The help available to them at the time was a best sporadic. There is a lack of understanding and specialist help in this area and the disease is on the increase affecting men, women boys and girls. Beat, with your support will be able to bridge all of these gaps and provide the help that is so badly amiss.

Alongside the Arleigh's Atheletes I will run the half marathon and with your kind donations will help to give the wonderful team at Beat some of the help the need to carry on with the amazing work they do!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
