We fund life-saving medical research to make gynae cancers diseases of the past

Story

10 staff across The Wine Society are doing the 3 National Peaks challenge in June and raising money for three charities, one of them being the Eve Appeal.

Sadie Calderon, Simon Gatley, Dave Collins, Mike Green, Lesley Clark, Ben Briffett, Mahesh Bharwaney, Nicky Glennon, Carl Andrew and Peter Harris are the ones to take on this challenge with Ewan Murray and Tom Wain being our support team (and drivers!).

On the 24th June at 5pm we shall begin the highest of the mountains, Ben Nevis.  After an overnight drive to Cumbria we shall start the steepest mountain, Scafell Pike at sunrise.  Then lastly Snowdon later that day - completing all three within 24 hours

Why the Eve Appeal?

The Eve Appeal (www.eveappeal.org.uk) charity raises funds for ground-breaking research into the 5 gynaecological cancers (ovarian, womb, vulval, vaginal and cervical cancer) to help save women's lives.

We want to raise awareness of, and funds for research in, these gynaecological cancers.  A colleague at TWS is suffering from a rare and low-survival rare form of such a cancer and we want to show her our support as the charity has helped her on her journey.

Many thanks for your support, every penny will count.  Your support will keep us going during the 24 hours.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
