My name is Sean Corlett and I have set myself the challenge of completing The Tour De Sez 2016. This is an event organised by and in aid of the Sarah Groves Foundation which consists of a 700 mile charity bike ride from Guernsey to Bilbao.

The Sarah Groves Foundation was incorporated by the family of Sarah Groves. Sarah was tragically murdered on a house boat in Kashmir, India in April 2013. Sarah was an incredibly loving and selfless person. She always strived to improve the lives of people less fortunate than herself. She had a special affinity for children. The foundation was set up to create and offer opportunities to children from all walks of life in the areas of life Sarah was most passionate about. These areas are the arts, fitness and activities. By offering these chances we aim to improve the lives of children in Guernsey and around the world and allow them to succeed through Sarah's legacy.

I have never done something like this before, and I have only just bought my first road bike especially for this event! It is going to be challenge, but one that I hope will also bring good memories, and of course, funding for the foundation.
