Here is the reason we are trying to raise 10k for SMA...in the words of Joe Francis, Nelles dad....

"Nelle lost her battle to SMA aged 4 months. Her life wasn't easy. SMA is very cruel and has a devastating affect on the lives it touches.

Nelle could hardly move or use her muscles, something which we all take for granted. By being active I can pay tribute to her. By raising money for SMA we can help others impacted by the condition.

It's wonderful that several of my friends many of whom got to share a cuddle with my girl are taking part to. I am so proud of them and they have been a real comfort in a difficult year. This is a big challenge both in terms of the physical demands expected of a half ironman and the amount we aim to raise. It's going to be awesome giving it our all.

Please help make her proud!!
