PLANETS
Campaign by Southampton Hospitals Charity (RCN 1051543)
PLANETS is dedicated to defeating cancer of the Pancreas Liver And NeuroEndocrine Tumours (NETs) by supporting patients at Southampton General Hospital and the wider region.

Story

PLANETS is a charity run out of Southampton Hospital supporting research and patient care for patients with pancreatic, liver and neuroendocrine tumours.

Southampton is leading the way with many novel treatments in this area, with a strong research ethos. The money raised will be going towards a combination of patient care and research to try and improve the prognosis of many of these patients.

There are a selection of doctors, nurses and brave supporters planning to sacrifice our perineums for this great cause with at least 18 hours in the saddle  in a bid to cycle from London to Paris in under 24 hours. As if that was not enough, there are patients who have benefited from this charity attempting this feat too.

I have been inspired by the patients that we see and treat with these conditions and the team at PLANETS with their commitment to improving their lives. It is for this reason that I have got involved in organising this event, and hope to complete it together with the PLANETS team.

Please dig deep and be as generous as you can.
